Air Fryer Egg Bites

Post bariatric surgery diet recipes

Air fryer recipes for bariatric patients are the best! Air-fried foods are lower in fat than deep-fried ones, so switching to an air fryer may be an easy way to help manage your long-term diet after surgeries like gastric sleeve and gastric bypass.

Light, fluffy and cute as a button, these wee egg bites are ready in no time at all. Make them ahead of time for a grab and go breakfast or snack!

Here's what you'll need:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup (30g) spinach, chopped
  • ½ red pepper, diced
  • ¼ cup (40g) feta cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tbsp. almond milk, unsweetened
  • salt & pepper

Here's how to make it:

Heat the Air Fryer to 150°C.

Whisk the eggs in a large bowl, add in the spinach, red pepper, crumbled feta, almond milk and season with a little salt and pepper.

Evenly divide the egg mixture into 8 silicone muffin cases, filling each cup ¾ of the way. Place the filled silicone cups into the Air Fryer and fry for 10-14 minutes. Do this in two batches if necessary.

Once cooked, allow the egg bites to cool completely before removing them from the cups.
