What to eat for breakfast after bariatric surgery


Whip up a healthy breakfast that’s packed with protein by making these scrummy air fryer baked oats. With just a few simple and nutritious ingredients, this is a great way to start your day off right!


Here's what you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/3 cup milk (use any milk you like)
  • 1 tbsp My New Tum’s protein powder
  • 1 tbsp sweetener of choice
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup mixed frozen berries


Here's how to make it:

Add oats, egg, banana, milk, protein powder, sweetener, and baking powder into a blender cup and blend for 30-60 seconds until combined.

Spray a small oven-proof ramekin or a baking dish with some oil and pour the oats mixture into the dish. Top with berries.

Place the dish into an Air-Fryer and cook at 175°C for 10-12 minutes until fully cooked.

Drizzle with some melted peanut butter or golden syrup and serve immediately.
