Whip up a healthy breakfast that's packed with protein by making these scrummy air fryer baked oats. With just a few simple and nutritious ingredients, this is a great way to start your day off right.
Breakfast is the meal that decides whether you spend the rest of the day chasing your protein target, which is why 45g of protein before 8am is worth a read. If you want something savoury instead, the air fryer egg bites keep in the fridge all week, and the protein lava cake uses the same tub of powder for pudding.
Here's what you'll need
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 egg
- 1/2 banana
- 1/3 cup milk (use any milk you like)
- 1 tbsp Whey Protein
- 1 tbsp sweetener of choice
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup mixed frozen berries
Here's how to make it
Add oats, egg, banana, milk, protein powder, sweetener, and baking powder into a blender cup and blend for 30 to 60 seconds until combined.
Spray a small oven-proof ramekin or a baking dish with some oil and pour the oats mixture into the dish. Top with berries.
Place the dish into an air fryer and cook at 175°C for 10 to 12 minutes until fully cooked.
Drizzle with some melted peanut butter or golden syrup and serve immediately.
