If you're a fan of orange juice, this smoothie recipe is for you. Loaded with fruits, vegetables, and skin-supporting nutrients, this is an excellent way to switch up your smoothie routine and increase the assortment of foods you’re consuming - a big win if you’re still in the soft food stage right after WLS.
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 cup frozen mango (you’ll find frozen fruit perfect for smoothies in the frozen section of most supermarkets)
- ½ banana
- ½ cup (pre-cooked) frozen cauliflower*
- 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 scoop of My New Tum™ PROTEIN
- 1.5 cups of orange juice
- Optional: 2 teaspoons of orange zest
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place all ingredients into a blender and whiz until smooth.
- Pour into your favourite glass and enjoy. Easy-peasy!
*If adding cauliflower to a smoothie sounds a little strange to you, you’re not alone! But don't worry; your smoothie won't taste like cauliflower. Sweeter ingredients like orange and mango will easily mask the cauliflower flavor. Plus, cauliflower blends down easily, and banana offers a creamy consistency to balance it all out.
