My New Tum™ came to life several weeks after my own Gastric Sleevectomy in February 2019.
Flipping through a Gastric Sleeve cookbook by Sarah Kent, I quickly realised that the recommended dose of vitamins and minerals for people who have had weight loss surgery was not going to be met by the bottle of mainstream multivitamins I had picked up from my local pharmacy.
Several google searches revealed there weren’t any bariatric specific multivitamins being produced here in New Zealand. With a DIY spirit and a background in the health and wellness industry, I decided right there and then I would make a multivitamin that is right for me, and my new tummy.
